Tithe and Offering

Where do I bring my tithe?

According to Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse." The storehouse is where you get fed spiritually and is the local or internet church you attend. However, the tithe is the Lord's and you must under all circumstances obey His leading on where to bring your tithes. If you are looking for a local church you may send your tithes to another ministry until you find and commit to a local church where you will then bring your tithes.

The Tithe is - Leviticus 27:30
The tithe is ten percent of your gross income, your income before taxes. This ten percent belongs to the Lord. Many times as believers we feel as if we are doing God a favor by giving him ten percent of what is ours. However, we don't own that ten percent, He does. As believers we don't give Him the tithe either, we return it. How can you give something that doesn't belong to you?

Since we don't own the tenth we don't give it, we return it. Malachi 3:7 says "Return to me, and I will return to you, Says the Lord of hosts. "But you (the nation of Israel) said, In what shall we return?" God answers this question in verse eight "In tithes and offerings."

Every Sunday all of heaven watches to see if you are going to return to God what is His or if you are going to rob God of what He has required of you.

So what does the tithe do? The tithe opens up the windows of heaven (Malachi 3:10). This word windows in Hebrew is the same word as floodgates. When you tithe you open up the floodgates of heaven's blessings for you and your family.
